Ferg“In the middle of nowhere there is the Whale house. Nicely decorated and with we needed. Fully equipped kitchen to cook your own meals. Black sands beach is across the street a few minutes climbing down the cliff. Loved all the birds and other rain forest sounds at night, as well as the ocean wave crashing to the shore. We only stayed a night splitting our island tour into smaller route chunks. New lava flow sites from Summer 2018 just a few miles away.”
Adriano“Very nice 1 bedroom house with kitchen, living room and veranda. It has a washing machine and you can use swimming gear, which guests have left behind. If you want to cook yourself, you should go shopping in Pahoa. A beach is right in front of the house. We would come again!”

Punua“A most idyllic location for anyone wanting to get away and enjoy the southeast side of the Big Island, especially the natural lava formations and south facing coastline and beaches. An extra plus for visiting Kehena Black Sand beach just across the street! The cottage itself had a nice homey modern feel to it, clean and with everything you need, including a kitchen to prepare and cook your own food. With high ceilings, ceiling fans and screened openings, (breezes often blowing off the ocean) you don't even need to rely on the air conditioning that is provided. Nice view of the water from the little front patio area.”
