“Beautiful small house in a remote rural area, close to the sea and the best road on Hawai’i island. It‘s a cozy place, Abbie is the nicest host you can imagine and you get loads of ideas what to do (never forget about the aloha in your day trips). There is also a very friendly cat around.”

While she was away during our visit, her caretaker came over for a visit and shared lots of local knowledge which we loved. The area is a little dark coming in at night (Hawaii dark sky policy) however Abby left the light on for us to at least know we had found the right spot! It's a little away from Pahoa, and we kind of wondered what we had gotten ourselves into as we were trying to find it, but once there we were absolutely charmed. And Pahoa was not a big deal to drive in for a few groceries or going out to dinner. All the basic appliances are there to be able to make in home. Loved it!”
